Yamamoto Choritsu Yamshita Elementary School No 2

The Elementary School is a Hybrid Wood-Frame and Steel Frame structure built as the focal point public project under the Reconstruction Project for the relocated Yamato Municipality in Miyagi Prefecture.
The structure uses namely standard structural lumber sizes as opposed to Large Cross Section Timbers and is designed with Skylights on the roof to allow plenty of natural light to filter through to the classrooms, allowing for a bright and comfortable ambience inside the building.
