Kosugemura Gymnasium

The Kosugemura Gymnasium was built for the Kosugemura Public High School in Yamanashi Prefecture as part of a special demonstration project to revitalize Prefectural Forest Resources and expand the utilization of Prefectural Forest Products.
It is built strictly with Forest Products from Yamanashi Prefecture

The structure is designed in an oval shape where the relative freedom of manufacturing in wood is emphasized.
The use of Multi-Angled Roof Trusses arranged strategically allow for the oval shaped roof design.
The structure is 720m2 on the 1st Floor with a total of 901m2 of overall floor space, approximately the size of a full basketball court.
